Norfolk County Council’s Joy of Food service are offering some free opportunities in August for young carers, young adult carers and their parents or other family members. The courses will enable families to develop confidence and skills in planning and preparing healthy, good value meals. Sessions will be run in Downham Market, Great Yarmouth and Norwich.

This offer is for families so young carers or young adult carers would need to be accompanied by at least one adult family member. There are four cooking sessions over a two-day period in the same week. The course is free including all food ingredients. We would love you to help us promote this offer as widely as possible to the young carers, young adult carers and families that you work with.

Places will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

You can find out more information on dates and times for these classes by looking on the events section of the website.

To apply for the course, or find out more, please contact Dave Jones on 01603 638485 or email joyoffood@norfolk.gov.uk.
