SILVER SOCIAL- Bowjangles Event 26th-30th November
The Silver Social is a project aimed at older residents across Breckland, Norfolk. It is managed by Breckland Council, with strategic touring funding from Arts Council England. The Silver Social is a programme of daytime events that encourage engagement and participation in arts based activities. These are delivered by professional practitioners in a range of venues such as libraries, museums and village halls. Target areas include Dereham, Thetford, Swaffham, Watton and Attleborough. The aim of the project is to promote participation and independent living in the community. Although the focus is on older people, particularly those living alone, nobody is excluded from The Silver Social.
Previous activities have included singing, poetry, dance and embroidery.
The next event is the string quartet Bowjangles and their new magical musical, ‘Excalibow.’ Bowjangles have a reputation for comedy, energy and exploring various musical genres. It is not to be missed!
