Norfolk County Council’s Assistive Technology Team are holding a drop in information session on the new Technology Enabled Care (TEC) Lending Library service on Wednesday, 19 January, 10.00am – 2.00pm at King’s Lynn Library.
The new service for carers and the people they care for from the Great Yarmouth and King’s Lynn area, allows you to borrow the equipment for free for six weeks to see how the assistive technology can support independence whilst keeping the person you care for safe in their own home. It is a great way of trying the equipment out to see if it works for your needs before making the decision to purchase it yourself.
The service is initially available at King’s Lynn and Great Yarmouth libraries.
The equipment on loan are easy press pendants, movement sensor transmitters and door monitors. The equipment is easy to use and set up and library staff are on hand to help you with advice and information sheets.
Carers are welcome to go along to the information session, meet the team for a chat and a cup of tea. The team will be on hand to answer any queries carers have about the service and using the equipment.
