FLOWER power for safe vehicles

In such a rural county as Norfolk, being able to get around by car can provide a lifeline for many, so keeping vehicles up to speed is a must.

Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service are asking everyone to remember FLOWER – a series of practical safety checks to carry out on your cars this winter stay safe on our roads:

• Fuel – have you got enough fuel or charge?
• Lights – have you checked all your lights are working?
• Oil – have you checked your oil levels?
• Water – have you checked you have enough coolant and screen wash?
• Electrics – are there any warning lights on your car that you need to act on?
• Rubber – have you checked the tread and general conditions of your tyres?
