Have your say on work rights

Unpaid carers are being invited to give their thoughts on employment rights as part of a major government review.

The consultation is reviewing the Carer’s Leave Act 2023, and the Employment Rights Act 2025, with views being sought on:

• The information and guidance that is available to support unpaid carers.
• The potential need for further support.
• What forms of support would be helpful for both unpaid carers and parents with a seriously ill child.

As well as unpaid carers, the government also wants to hear from businesses, those with experience in supporting unpaid carers in the workplace, and those with expertise in unpaid care.

You have until Tuesday 1 September to have your say. For more details, visit the consultation page, or respond online.
