Are you supporting a family member living with dementia? It may be that you have found yourself experiencing worries or distress.

Research is being carried out by the University of East Anglia into whether online support is helpful in improving your psychological wellbeing.

The research is a large trial testing looking at internet delivered self-help Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for family carers of people with dementia. This is called iACT4CARERS.

iACT4CARERS focuses on helping people to manage difficult or troubling thoughts and feelings, while still trying to do activities that really matter to them.

To find out more you can visit the website at iact4carers.com, send an email to iact4carers.study@uea.ac.uk or read more on the University of East Anglia website at www.uea.ac.uk/about/school-of-health-sciences/research/projects/acceptance-and-commitment-therapy. You can also contact Thanh Hang Morris at hang.morris@nihr.ac.uk if you would like to find out more or to discuss the project. Hang is a Clinical Research Practitioner, at the Clinical Research Network.

The funding for this study comes from the National Institute for Health and Care Research.
