Creative Arts East is pleased to announce that their ‘Our Day Out’ face-to-face workshops for older people are up and running again.
The award-winning programme of free, inclusive, creative workshops take place in locations across Norfolk. (Attleborough, Dereham, Great Yarmouth, Hunstanton, Thetford, Watton and Wells-next-the-Sea)
The programme improves wellbeing, decreases feelings of isolation and loneliness, and creates new social connections by bringing people together. The sessions are open to all older people, including carers, those living with a dementia or other long-term health conditions, and those who may feel lonely or isolated.
Sally, an Our Day Out participant said, “I felt that life was shutting me in the house. I have very few friends left so it’s really nice to meet people who have the same interests and like coming together to share in music and dance.’

The programme is funded by Spirit of 2012 Trust, with additional investment from the Big Lottery Fund, Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk, Norfolk County Council, Breckland Council, North Norfolk District Council, The Earl of Northampton’s Charity and Independent Age.
