A shot in the arm

With winter on its way, keep yourself and those you care for safe by getting a flu jab.

The vaccination is now available for free on the NHS to those eligible, including if you are the main carer for an older or disabled person, or receive Carer’s Allowance.

Flu jabs are also free to anyone aged 65 or over (including those who will be 65 by 31 March 2027), aged 18 to 64 who have certain long-term health conditions, are pregnant, live in a care home, or live with someone who has a weakened immune system. So the person you care for is likely to be eligible too.

You may be able to get a vaccine from your GP surgery or a pharmacy that offers NHS flu vaccinations.
