We have volunteer roles which may suit you, whether its to help people who look after family members or friends to attend groups, increase their independence or support them to get online.

Our volunteers are valued members of the Carers Matter Norfolk team. They help us provide a range of important and valued services and support to unpaid carers.

That is why we are keen to hear from carers, former carers or people with a completely different background, who may want to be involved in:

  • Helping and supporting carers to attend groups and activities (including helping carers taking their first steps in joining a group and settling in).
  • Assisting with digital inclusion – helping carers get online and use digital technologies that help for them.
  • Befriending carers, and helping them increase their independence.

The roles are a mixture of face-to-face contact and non-contact and are flexible to suit you and the person you are supporting.

You will be making a difference in your community, meeting new people, and using and developing your skills.

Alex Stapleton, our Volunteer Coordinator will warmly welcome you to the volunteer team and provide you with on-going training and support.
