This week is national grief awareness week (2 – 8 December) and we know that this can be a really relevant subject to many carers. Grieving comes after the loss of someone close, but there can also be grief in the anticipation of losing a loved one, including someone they have cared for for a very long time.
The aim of the awareness week organised by the Good Grief Trust is to raise awareness of the impact of grief and how when we lose someone close to us, we all grieve in different ways. Grief and mourning are a normal part of bereavement and there are a range of support services that can help you cope.
Norfolk County Council have information that will help you find support if you have lost someone or if you are helping someone else cope with a bereavement.
