The Social Car scheme provides volunteer drivers to passengers who have essential journeys to make but do not have access to their own or public transport. Journeys will be linked to appointments to hospitals, dentists, etc or for social reasons such as visiting a relative in hospital. The passenger pays 45p per mile to the driver, there is a minimum charge of £6.00.
