Are you a young adult carer thinking about your next steps in education and higher educational options?

‘Take Your Place’ for young adult carer workshops are being run by the University of East Anglia (UEA), to help young adult carers find out more about the university.

The workshops are being run as webinars and are here to help you navigate your higher education options. There are five workshops over the course of five weeks, providing free and impartial information about higher education. They will support young adult carers to access information to help with decisions about the future, with caring responsibilities in mind.

The sessions are aimed at students who are studying or have finished Level 3 courses at sixth form or college.

Join UEA for their friendly, welcoming and inclusive webinar sessions. Across the five weeks, you will meet Tania, Liz and student ambassadors for talks on:

  • Choosing a university and a course
  • Student finance and budgeting
  • Student life
  •  Study skills
  • Wellbeing and support

Contact Liz on includingme@uea.ac.uk or tania at tania@takeyourplace.ac.uk to find out more or to talk through how you can make the most of these sessions.
