An event for people looking after a family member or friend is to be held on Wednesday 28 July between 10am and 12noon. This will take place over Zoom and will feature five speakers with plenty of opportunities for questions and interaction. You can see the full schedule of what you will be able to hear and talk about below. 10.05am Stroke treatment and care, Mary Downing, Legacy Nurse, Norfolk and Waveney CCG

If you’re looking after someone who has had a Stroke, this session will help to support you.

10:25am Support for carers, Pip Everett, Senior Family and Carers Lead, Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust

10.45am Assistive Technology, Amber-Marie Wright, Norfolk County Council

This session will cover the various items of Assistive Technology to support you in your home. You will learn more about what’s available and how to get a referral from the team.

11am ReSPECT Awareness, Andy Sumpner, Resusitation Officer, Norfolk Community Health and Care Trust

This is the process that creates personalised recommendations, through discussions, for a person’s clinical care and treatment in a future emergency, in which they are unable to make or express choices.
