Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) has an exciting opportunity for eight members of the public with an interest in mental health to join its Council of Governors.

Nominations close at 5pm on Monday 24 October, so if you would like to stand for election to help shape services provided by NSFT in Norfolk and Suffolk, apply now.

Being a Governor provides you with a unique opportunity to contribute to the strategic debate and the overall direction of the Trust on behalf of its members, service users, carers and the communities it serves.

Along with attending four Council meetings a year, you will have lots of opportunities to get more involved, such as through sub committees, members events, governor visits to services and training sessions.

The Council has 23 Governors elected by Trust Members and seven appointed by partner organisations. Elected Governors serve three-year terms, starting on 1 February.

The seats up for election this year are:

  • four Public Governors in Norfolk
  • three Public Governors in Suffolk
  • one Service User Governor in Norfolk
  • one Staff Governor
